Today we conducted a class on the topic "Vedic Mathematics". The class was held at 3 PM in 8 th I class.We taught 4 "Vedic Suthras" to make multiplication of two and three digit numbers easy.Students participated in the class enthusiastically.The aim of the class was to make Mathematics easy for children and to inculcate interest in Mathematics.We hope the class helped the students to develop self confidence and to change the bitter attitude towards Mathematics.

In connection with *World science day for peace and development*,we organised and conducted a science quiz competition and poster making at GHSS Ottapalam East School on 11/11/2024.Quiz competition was held at biology lab at 11:30am.Intially a set of 5 questions were asked and those who scored highest marks were selected for level 2.Then 5 more questions were asked and 5 students were selected to final based on their scores.Adithya of 10.A,Fathima of 9.B and Radhika of 9.A secured first, second and third positions respectively.
A poster making competition was also held at 3:15 pm on the topic Save Nature,Save Earth. Students participated enthusiastically and they cooperated very well.

Palliative Day

The Palliative Club in collaboration with NSS Unit- 301 and IQAC organised a week long commemoration event at the college spanning from 16-01-2024 to 22-01-2024. On 16 th January 2024, a fund collection drive was conducted, raising contributions for palliative case initiatives. On 17 th January 2024, a collection drive for clothes was organised, with generous participation from the students of the college.Class representatives were in charge of collecting the clothings from their respective classes.Finally the collected clothing items were donated to Polygarden, Lakkidi, contributing to the welfare of those in need.

Food Fest

Nss unit of our College hosted a food fest and film festival on March 25, 2024. The food fest spanned from 9 am to 12:30 pm. The event commenced with an inauguration by the college principal, Dr. Ampili Aravind, followed by a welcome speech by Drishya. Dr. Lakshmi, the staff secretary, delivered a facilitation speech, and the formal program concluded with Athira delivering the vote of thanks . Following the formalities, the college enjoyed a bustling food fest featuring 12 unique stalls representing different classes, catering to the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and staff. The event concluded successfully with great enthusiasm. In the afternoon, the NSS unit arranged a film festival in the seminar hall, featuring the screening of the recent Malayalam hit movie "Bramayugam."
