Say No to Drugs: Anti-Drug Awareness Programme by NSS Unit No. 301

The NSS Unit No. 301 of NSS Training College, Ottapalam conducted an anti-drug awareness programme on 18 November 2025 with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The programme began with an inaugural address by Dr. Smitha R (Principal i/c), who highlighted the serious physical, mental, and social dangers of drug addiction. Her inspiring words motivated students to make informed and responsible choices in their lives.

As part of the campaign, a poster titled “Say No to Drugs” was displayed to create a strong visual message against drug abuse. Students actively participated in the event by taking a collective pledge, reaffirming their commitment to stay away from drugs and to work towards a drug-free society.

The programme successfully promoted awareness, responsibility, and healthy lifestyle choices among the youth. It also fostered a strong sense of unity and determination among students to spread the message against drug addiction and to contribute positively to society.
