NSS SERVICE AT SUB-DISTRICT YOUTH FEST

On behalf of Sub-district of Ottapalam School Youth Festival 2024, NSS Volunteers from NSS Unit 301,  NSS Training College, Ottapalam were appointed for volunteering at PTM HSS, Trikkaadeeri. Volunteers reached the venue at 10:00 am. The officials divided the group into 2 teams, of which one team was given duty for helping the program committee and the other half was given duty at the food section. In the food section, the food committee divided the  teams into 3 groups for different works. Volunteers were very enthusiastic and cooperative. 


The food section works started at 11:00 am and ended at 3:00 pm. There was a huge rush during the peak time, students and their accompanying teachers from various schools of Ottapalam Sub-district had arrived for different competitions. 


The volunteers for program committee were assigned to look after the participants and assist them for the competitions according to their numbers. The food section duty ended at 3:15pm with a review meeting with the officials. NSS volunteers were asked to give their opinions and 2-3 volunteers expressed their opinions and experience.

The food committee gave compliments to all the volunteers for their enthusiastic and hard working efforts. The volunteers in the program committee had duty till 8:00pm and also were very cooperative.

Palliative Day

The Palliative Club in collaboration with NSS Unit- 301 and IQAC organised a week long commemoration event at the college spanning from 16-01-2024 to 22-01-2024. On 16 th January 2024, a fund collection drive was conducted, raising contributions for palliative case initiatives. On 17 th January 2024, a collection drive for clothes was organised, with generous participation from the students of the college.Class representatives were in charge of collecting the clothings from their respective classes.Finally the collected clothing items were donated to Polygarden, Lakkidi, contributing to the welfare of those in need.

Food Fest

Nss unit of our College hosted a food fest and film festival on March 25, 2024. The food fest spanned from 9 am to 12:30 pm. The event commenced with an inauguration by the college principal, Dr. Ampili Aravind, followed by a welcome speech by Drishya. Dr. Lakshmi, the staff secretary, delivered a facilitation speech, and the formal program concluded with Athira delivering the vote of thanks . Following the formalities, the college enjoyed a bustling food fest featuring 12 unique stalls representing different classes, catering to the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and staff. The event concluded successfully with great enthusiasm. In the afternoon, the NSS unit arranged a film festival in the seminar hall, featuring the screening of the recent Malayalam hit movie "Bramayugam."
