The first day concluded with clarity of purpose, enthusiasm, and strong team spirit. Volunteers were introduced to the innovative concept of a “Golden Envelope”, hidden daily at the campsite, which granted privileges to the finder—either exemption from duty or priority for bathing— adding excitement and curiosity. Dr Suresh Kumar and Dr Minikumari D were at the camp for the day.

Day 2 – 24 December 2025
(Self-Branding and Community Survey)

The day began at 6:00 AM with a morning assembly, NSS song, and reading of the daily camp newspaper, which creatively highlighted key events and fun moments from the previous day. During the assembly, the groups revealed their names, all inspired by Malayalam movie titles:
 • Group 1 – Padakkalam
 • Group 2 – Koode
 • Group 3 – Lokah
 • Group 4 – Padavettu.

An energetic aerobics session, conducted by Arunadithya, refreshed both body and mind. This was followed by a morning walk with Sub Collector Shri. Anjeet Singh, IAS, during which volunteers interacted freely with him. His humble responses and insightful guidance left a lasting impression on the volunteers.

The first academic session, led by Muhammed P.T., focused on Self-Branding and Confidence Building. The session emphasised self-belief, presentation skills, and personal growth. Volunteers actively participated in interactive activities, and their dynamic personalities elevated the camp's energy.

In the afternoon, volunteers conducted a community survey at “Manasa Gramam,” focusing on families and women. This exposure helped volunteers understand the locality’s socio-economic conditions. Volunteers also informed residents about the upcoming free eye testing and medical camps, and received a warm, welcoming response. The evening was reserved for games and leisure activities, followed by dedicated time for the Asaad Sena project preparation. Later, Dr Anu S conducted a craft session in which volunteers learned to make mats using craft materials. The session was engaging, and sweets were distributed to all. After dinner, a joyful Christmas cake-cutting celebration was held, accompanied by songs and dance. Cultural programmes conducted by the Programme Committee helped break inhibitions among volunteers. Anu Miss’s daughter also mesmerised the audience with a dance performance. The day concluded with a review meeting and lights off.

Day 3 – 25 December 2025
(Swachatha Hi Seva and Christmas Spirit)

The morning routine included assembly, reading the newspaper, Yoga by Arunadithya, and a peaceful morning walk. Excitement around the Golden Envelope continued. The day’s major activity was the Swachhatha Hi Seva Cleaning Drive at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Ambalappara. Volunteers cleaned the hospital premises, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness at a public health institution serving the local community. As a mark of NSS presence and commitment, volunteers also painted the NSS emblem on the wall, symbolising service, responsibility, and unity. The activity instilled a strong sense of civic duty and collective ownership among volunteers. By noon, the team returned to the campsite for lunch.

In the afternoon, Ambili Ma’am, former Principal, visited the camp with a Christmas cake. An informal, heartwarming interactive session followed, during which she spoke about her teaching journey, personal experiences, life challenges, and professional growth. volunteers interacted freely with her, making the session both insightful and emotionally comforting.

The evening brought a serene change of pace. Volunteers went for a nature walk through nearby fields, agricultural lands, and a small flowing stream. The group collected peacock feathers, admired the scenery, and even harvested cowpeas for the camp kitchen with the kind permission of the landowner. This walk strengthened the bond between volunteers and nature, creating moments of peace and joy. Later in the evening, leisure games were conducted, followed by time allocated for Asaad Sena project work preparation. A special cultural programme for the Christmas edition was organised by the Programme Committee at night. The session was lively, colourful, and filled with performances that reflected the festive spirit of Christmas. The day concluded with a night review meeting, during which a Suggestion Box and Compliment Box were introduced—an initiative that promoted openness, appreciation, and constructive feedback within the camp community.

Day 4 – 26 December 2025
(Self-Defence and Anti-Drug Awareness)

The fourth day began at 6:00 AM with the usual morning assembly, newspaper reading, and the reading aloud of compliments from the Compliment Box, which greatly encouraged volunteers and fostered a positive emotional environment. The morning featured a disciplined parade session conducted by Ashok and Midhu Krishna, instilling teamwork, coordination, and discipline among the volunteers.

As part of skill development and personal safety awareness, a self-defence training session was conducted by Miss Gayathri and Aishwarya, both National champions. The session was highly engaging, practical, and empowering. Volunteers enthusiastically participated and learned basic self-defence techniques, boosting their confidence and awareness.

The second session of the morning was an Anti-Drug Awareness class handled by Arumughan Sir. The session highlighted the dangers of substance abuse, its impact on individuals, families, and society, and stressed the importance of youth participation in anti-drug movements.

This session strongly aligned with the Asaad Sena project, reinforcing the camp’s core objective. In the afternoon, Dr Sankaranarayanan Paleeri visited the camp. His interaction with volunteers was warm and inspiring as he shared personal memories from his NSS camp and reflected on how NSS shaped his life and values. His words deeply motivated the volunteers. The evening was filled with leisure games and Asaad Sena project preparation. During dinner, volunteers witnessed a beautiful firecracker display that lit up the sky, thanks to the nearby Ayyappan Vilakku, adding a magical charm to the night. Cultural programmes organised by the Programme Committee were vibrant and joyous. Anupama and Ardra's birthday celebrations were held unexpectedly, bringing happiness and strengthening their emotional bonds. The day ended with the regular night review meeting and planning for the next day.

Day 5 – 27 December 2025
(Health Care Outreach and Mental Well-being)

In response to volunteers' suggestions, the morning assembly was held in the hall due to the cold weather. The assembly included reading the newspaper, compliments, and a calming yoga session led by Arunadithya, which helped volunteers relax and rejuvenate. One of the most significant activities of the camp was the Free Eye Testing Camp, organised at Pilathara LP School in association with Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital. Volunteers cleaned the premises, arranged seating, guided patients, and assisted medical professionals. Around 84 patients benefited from the camp, making it a grand success and a meaningful contribution to community health.

In the afternoon, a mental health awareness session titled “Mind Matters” was conducted by Mrs Praveena, Ottapalam Welfare Trust. The session sensitised volunteers to the importance of mental health, emotional balance, and psychological well-being, particularly in today’s fast-paced world.

The evening included leisure activities and Asaad Sena project work. Dr Sheebakrishnan visited the camp with her son, who beautifully rendered Carnatic and film songs, creating a soulful and calming atmosphere. The cultural programmes that followed were energetic and inclusive, ensuring participation from all volunteers. The review meeting concluded the day with reflections and preparations for the upcoming activities.

(Medical Camp, Creative Excellence and Emotional Bonding)

The sixth day began with the morning assembly, newspaper reading, and compliments, followed by a meditation session led by Preyas Prabhakaran that helped volunteers centre their thoughts and emotions.

A Free Medical Camp was organised at the campsite in association with Modern Semalk Hospital. Doctors and nursing staff from six departments—General Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Pulmonology, Gynaecology, and General & Laparoscopic Surgery—provided services. The camp drew strong participation from the local community, making it one of the most impactful outreach programmes.

In the afternoon, volunteers cleaned the campsite and surrounding areas, removing unwanted plants and waste.

Final rehearsals for the Asaad Sena project work were held, and later all four groups performed them. The performances were powerful, relevant, and impressive, especially given the limited preparation time. The selection of the Best Volunteer (Boy and Girl) was conducted democratically among the campers. The night witnessed one of the camp's most emotional moments—a Candle-Light Session, where volunteers exchanged candles and shared heartfelt words. This was followed by an experience-sharing session, where volunteers openly expressed emotions, gratitude, misunderstandings, and unforgettable memories.
