Dedicated Service by NSS Volunteers in SIR Enumeration Process
Starting from 18 November 2025, NSS volunteers of NSS Training College, Ottapalam actively participated in SIR-related activities at the Ottapalam Taluk Office and the Sub Collector’s Office. The programme was carried out under the guidance of Sub Collector, Palakkad, Shri Anjeet Singh IAS.
The NSS volunteers were assigned the responsibility of assisting Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the systematic collection of enumeration forms from different wards. They played a crucial role in verifying, organizing, and digitizing the collected data, and helped in uploading the information to the designated online platforms, including SIR 2002.
Volunteers worked from morning to evening for 2–3 consecutive days, efficiently handling tasks such as list preparation, data entry, data verification, and cross-checking of records. Their dedicated service ensured the smooth and timely progress of the enumeration process and significantly reduced the workload of the administrative officials.
The NSS volunteers demonstrated a high sense of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork throughout the programme. Their sincere efforts contributed to enhancing the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of the SIR-related activities. The experience also helped the volunteers develop administrative skills and a strong sense of civic responsibility.
This initiative stands as a proud example of the commitment of NSS volunteers to community service and nation-building.
