NSS Camp- Day 6
At Sri Swami Vivekananda Center of Teacher Education in Mayilumpuram, a seven-day residential camp *'Dwiti 2024'* was arranged as part of National Service Scheme unit number 301, NSS Training College in Ottapalam.
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, the sixth day of the camp, Dr. Seema Menon, a professor at NSS Training College Ottapalam, led a yoga lesson to start the day. The duration of the yoga class was approximately sixty minutes. And so ended our final yoga day. We ate breakfast at about eight o'clock.
Later, Akshay, one of the students, led a workshop where he introduced the Canva program for creating posters. Additionally, each of us creates a poster about the closing ceremony.
In addition, awards are offered for the best poster.
The next session started after the break, and we had a refreshment drink. It was a session on 'life skill development' led by Sri Ashok Nenmara, director of the Centre for Life Skill Learning, Chennai. It was a very interesting session. Through various games, we earn the skills. And it lasted for 2 hours.
After the lunch break, we engaged in some gaming sessions like football, music chairs, etc. Then we had a visit to the field, and we spent a lot of time there.
On the day, we elected the best camp leader and best cook in the camp, and after an analysis of the whole day program, we went for dinner.
The news paper release was held under the leadership of Sunil Kumar sir .Everyone had a great time dancing, singing, setting up chairs around them, and lighting candles that had been made by volunteers. The campfire evolved into a program in which everyone enthusiastically took part in the candlelight. The volunteers continued to celebrate the evening by dancing in the college's hallway until about two o'clock.
That evening also bid us farewell, leaving us with only a few life memories.
