The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 301 of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, officially set the stage for its upcoming 7-day residential camp, DISHA 2025, with a series of high-profile launches. In a significant prelude to the event, NSS Programme Officer Dr. M.P. Ravishankar, alongside Student Secretaries Aparna Nair and Harigovind T., visited the Sub-Collector’s office to formally unveil the camp poster. During the meeting, the team extended a cordial invitation to Sub-Collector Anjeet Singh, requesting his presence to inspire the volunteers during the camp's duration.



The momentum continued back at the campus, where College Principal Prof. Dr. Smitha R. officially inaugurated the camp’s promotion. This residential camp, scheduled to run from December 23 to December 29, 2025, represents a dedicated week of community service, personal growth, and social engagement for the volunteers. With the official posters launched and the college community energized, NSS Unit 301 is fully prepared to make DISHA 2025 a transformative experience that embodies the true spirit of "Not Me, But You."

Report on ICSSR-Sponsored National Seminar on Integrating Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored a two-day national seminar on Integrating Indian Knowledge System in Higher Education for Global Excellence in the MEP 2020 Era on 6th and 7th March 2025 at NSS Training College, Ottapalam. The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and NSS Unit No. 301. It aimed to explore the role of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in higher education and their integration with modern learning as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The seminar provided a platform for academicians, policymakers, faculty members, research scholars, and students (M.Ed. and B.Ed.) to present papers and share insights on the topic.
