Yoga Day

On June 21st, 2024, NSS Training College,Ottapalam, celebrated the International Day of Yoga with an engaging yoga session organized by the Women Development Cell in collaboration with NSS Unit 301 and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event took place in the college's open auditorium from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, under the theme "Yoga for Self and Society."

The session saw active participation from students of the B.Ed and M.Ed programs. Dr. Seema Menon KP, professor and the teacher coordinator of our college, spearheaded the organization of the event. Ma’am not only demonstrated various asanas but also emphasized the profound benefits  but also emphasized the profound benefits of yoga for both personal well-being and societal harmony.

The event was inaugurated by the esteemed principal of our college, Professor Dr. Ampili Aravind ma’am. In her inaugural address, she highlighted the significance of the International Day of Yoga and encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for improved physical and mental health.

The program concluded with a word of thanks from the student coordinator, Vidya T., who expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers for making the event a success.

This yoga session was a meaningful initiative, reflecting the college’s commitment to promoting holistic development among its students and underscoring the universal importance of yoga.
